Feature article one rosé wines in Bolaget illustrated and written by BKWine
Rosé article in Bolaget, with photos and text BKWine, probably the wine magazine with what may be the world’s biggest print issue. It is produced by the Swedish retail monopoly Systembolaget and is distributed for free in the shops. The print runt is around 500,000 with about one million readers.
In this year’s summer issue Bolaget has a feature article on the very popular wine category rosé. The article covered 4 pages of the 36 page in total. (The magazine has no advertising.) “Bolaget” is the colloquial name for “Systembolaget” that in translation means “The System Company”. (Long ago the monopoly principle for alcohol was called “the system”.)
The photography for the whole article was supplied by BKWine.
But not only that, we had also written the text, so in effect the magazine publisher had a full package with text and pictures supplied by BKWine.
It is always a pleasure to work with Bolaget since it is very professionally edited and the editor in chief (as well as the graphic designer) has very clear ideas of what they want to do with an article. A challenge for the supplier but a fun challenge. (More exciting than “just give us what you have”) The article explains some of the basic facts about rosé wine, the current trends and why rosé has become so popular and some about wine and food matching with rosé.
We quite regularly work with the Bolaget magazine and have previously supplied text and photography on Italy, on Sicily, the Languedoc, Bordeaux wines, Sancerre and sauvignon blanc etc.
